More Actions:

Sent, Delivered, Opens & Clicks section: This section displays important but general stats associated with email delivery such as the total emails sent, delivered, unique opens and clicks.

  • Sent - Displays the total emails that have been sent over a particular period of time. The figures can vary depending on the date range you choose in the date filter at the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  • Delivered - Displays the total emails that were delivered successfully to your recipients along with other details. During the sending phase of emails, there are chances that they can get bounced or not delivered, so the Sent count may vary from the Delivered count.

The percentage indicates that out of X emails that were sent, a particular % got delivered. The increase or decrease beside this percentage indicates whether the total delivered emails have either increased or decreased than the previous period. In the below image, it shows that there is a 30.7% increase. Consider that you generate the dashboard for the last 30 days. So, there has been a 30.7% increase in deliveries for the last 30 days in comparison to the 30 days before that.

  • Unique Opens - Shows the total unique emails that were opened by your recipients. Unique open is considered only when your recipient opens a email for the first time. If that email is opened the second time and further, it would not count as a 'unique' open.
Similar to the Delivered portion, the percentage of unique opens, percentage increase or decrease are displayed.

  • Unique Clicks - Shows the total unique links that were clicked by your recipients in a particular email. Unique click is counted when your recipients click on any link in a email for the first time. If those links are clicked the second time and further, those clicks would not get registered as a unique click. Similar to the Unique Opens portion, the percentage of unique clicks, percentage increase or decrease are displayed.
Bounce Stats: This section displays the statistics of the bounces that your account has suffered. Bounces occur when sent emails cannot be delivered. Typically, the email server will send you an error message, detailing the reason for the bounce.

Bounces come in two categories: soft and hard bounces. The pie chart also shows the total soft bounces and hard bounces that have occurred, along with their percentages. Total Bounces = Total Soft Bounces + Total Hard Bounces.

Let's look at the difference between these two types of bounces:

Soft Bounce: A temporary delivery failure. It does not necessarily mean the email address is invalid or no longer active, so we will continue trying to send emails to these addresses. Often, soft bounces are resolved on their own.

Hard Bounce: There is a permanent reason for the delivery failure. Generally, the recipients' addresses are immediately added to the Bounced list. Frequent hard bounces bring down the reputation of sending sources drastically. Some of the common reasons for hard bounces include invalid recipient email address, invalid recipient domain name.

Here, we display the percentage increase or decrease than previous period. In the below image, it shows that there is a 0.5% decrease in bounces, which is a good news. Consider that you generate the dashboard for the last 30 days. So, there has been a 0.5% decrease in bounces for the last 30 days in comparison to the 30 days before that.

Spam Stats: This section shows you statistics related to spam rate.

Spam Rate: This is simply the mails that have been reported or marked as spam by your recipients. This provides valuable insights on why your users are marking your mails as spam thereby allowing you to make some tweaks to your mails. You can also see the total number of spam complaints you've received for your mails by the "10 abused" displayed in the below image.

API Failed Stats: This section displays statistics about the failures in the API calls you've called.

API Failed: The total count of the API calls that have failed, along with their percentage will be displayed here.

Summary Graph:
This graph shows a summary of all the stats in a graphical format. The graph is between the Count and Time. Based on the date range you generate the Dashboard for, the graph will generate and display the data accordingly. It will show data of the counts of Sent, Delivered, Unique Opens, Unique Clicks, Soft Bounced, Hard Bounced, and API Failed counts.
