Subscription Management

What is subscription management in workflows?

This action helps you manage topic subscription for contacts entering your workflows.
  1. For users that require only the default topic (Marketing): You can choose whether to mark contacts as marketing or non-marketing, or unsubscribe them from marketing.
  2. For users who require multiple topics for their organization: You can add topic subscriptions for contacts, remove topic subscriptions from contacts, mark contacts as non-marketing, or unsubscribe contacts from all topics in the organization.

Can you assign topics automatically within the workflow?

Yes. You can use the subscription management component. By selecting the marketing subscription type, you can select the topics automatically.

Why have contacts been skipped?

If the subscription limit is reached, the contacts will be skipped automatically. You can use the subscription management component to change contacts to a non-marketing list.

How do you move contacts to the unsubscribed list?

Select the Mark as Unsubscribed option in the subscription management component so that the contacts will be moved to the unsubscribed list.

How do you change the subscription type to marketing?

Contacts’ subscription type will be changed automatically once they’ve entered into the subscription management component.

What happens when you unsubscribe a contact from all topics in workflows?

When you unsubscribe contacts from all topics in the organization, they’ll be removed from the workflow immediately and will no longer receive any marketing emails. However, you can mark these contacts as non-marketing if you don't want them to be removed from the workflow. You can subscribe topics to these contacts in the future, if needed.

What happens when you mark a contact as non-marketing in workflows?

Marking contacts as non-marketing will ensure that they’ll no longer receive any marketing emails and they’ll be unsubscribed from all topics. You can subscribe topics to these contacts again, i.e, mark contacts as marketing again in the future, if needed.

Why should you choose a lawful basis for communication when you add a topic subscription for your contacts?

Zoho Campaigns complies with GDPR laws to ensure that contacts have consented to receive marketing emails related to the topics they’ve been subscribed to. Zoho Campaigns gives users six lawful ways of communication to choose from. They are Consent, Legitimate Interest, Contract, Legal Obligation, Vital Interest, and Public Task. If your Zoho Campaigns account is not GDPR-compliant, you can choose “Not Applicable”.
