Settings - Troubleshooting Guide

In this document, we discuss a few points related to Settings and some helpful tips in using few features under Settings.

Custom merge tag values

Custom merge tag values are used to show a default text when the intended text value is not available from the derived custom field. For example, when you create a merge tag, you'll be asked to enter both the mail default value and social default value along with the actual merge tag value. If the field does not have any value, then we will use your mail default value (for emails) or social default value (if you are sharing it in your social media).

 Custom role creation

The custom role allows you to create a role that should allow or restrict certain privileges for the users in your account. You can avail this feature only when you are in the Standard or Professional pricing plan. Forever free and Pay-as--you-go plans do not include this feature.

  Update Imprint Details

Imprinting your company details at the bottom/footer of your campaign increases the credibility of your emails. Imprint details include your business related information, such as authorized representative, email address, tax identification number, and postal address.

For the users who fall under GDPR compliant, especially those who are from Germany, need to include 'Authorized representative's information' in their email and this information will be added to the footer setup by default. Since this is a default setup, you cannot remove it unless you use the imprint merge tag '$[HF:ORGINFO]$' within the content of your email campaign. Failing to add this merge tag in your content will allow the system to add the default footer automatically.
