Configuring email sending task in Custom Functions

Overview

This guide provides instructions on setting up and verifying email addresses for sending emails via Custom Functions (Deluge) in Zoho Connect. Following these steps ensures secure and successful email delivery.

Requirements for using the send mail task

When using the Send Mail task in Custom Functions, the "From Address" must meet one of the following criteria:

Zoho.adminuserid: The admin’s user ID in Zoho Connect
Zoho.loginuserid: The user ID of the logged-in user
A verified email address: The email address must be verified to be used

If the email address is not verified, emails will not be delivered, and the Send Mail task will be skipped.

Once a custom email is enabled, all notification emails will only be sent through the specified verified email address.

How to verify your email address

To ensure your preferred email address can be used as the "From Address," follow these steps:

Go to the Settings.
Click Custom Email under Customization.
Verify the DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) for email authentication.

Make sure you to verify your custom domain for the network.
Once the verification process is complete, the email address will be available for use in the Send Mail task.
