How do I enable Zia Writing Assistant

1. Go to the Settings page from the right side menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Navigate to the Writing Assistant section under Zia
   
   
   
   
3. From the available options- Zoho AI (Built-in) and OpenAI (Third-party), choose one you prefer.
   
   
   

For Zoho AI, no keys are required.

For OpenAI, you must add the keys manually from your ChatGPT account.

Adding API keys from OpenAI account

You can only add API keys after enabling the OpenAI.

We’re using the GPT-4o-mini version in our Zia Writing Assistant's OpenAI option for better performance and accuracy.

How do I add an API key to OpenAI?

1. Go to the Zia section from the Settings page.
   
2. Click Add API key next to OpenAI.
   
   
   
   
3. From the pop-up, select Create a new API key and click Continue.
   
   
   
   
4. In the pop-up, add the API keys copied from your ChatGPT account.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Save.

How do I get the API key from my ChatGPT account?

1. Go to https://platform.openai.com/api-keys.
   
2. Copy the API keys if you've configured it already.
   Also, ensure that you've not restricted the GPT-4o-mini model in the project settings. 

If you don't have an API key, then you should create one first.

To create an API key in OpenAI,

1. Go to API keys page from Settings.
2. Click Create new Secret key.
3. Enter the project name and select a project.
   
   
   
   If you're choosing Restricted in Permissions, enable Read permission for Models and Write permission for Model capabilities.
   
   
   
   

4. Once done, click Create secret key.
   

You cannot use Zia Writing Assistant's OpenAI if you've chosen Read only permissions for the key.

1. Go to the Zia section from the settings page.
2. Click Add API Key.
   
   
   
   
3. From the pop-up, select the available Zoho account in which you have already linked ChatGPT.
   
   
   
   
4. Click Continue.
   

What will happen after configuring Zia Writing Assistant?

Once you have entered the API keys and completed configuration, the Zia icon () will appear in the text editors for all network users.

How do I disable Zia in Zoho Connect?

1. Go to the Settings page from the right side menu.
   
2. Navigate to the Writing Assistant section under Zia.
3. Tap the toggle button next to the active AI agent to disable the Writing Assistant.
   
   
   

Managing API key for OpenAI

To delete or update the API key, you must disable the OpenAI option first.

1. Click the gear icon on the right side of the OpenAI option. 
   
   
   
   
2. In the pop-up, edit the key as you want.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Save.
