Understand notification in form workflows

Notifications are pretty useful in keeping your users well-informed and engaged. In Creator, notifications are, by default, triggered in the event of certain actions(like record comments, blueprint actions etc.). Additionally, you can also configure workflows in such a way to trigger notifications on successful submission of a form.
Notifications triggered from the form workflows will be sent to both the web and mobile. For the web users, the notifications will be present under the Notifications pane which can be viewed by clicking on the Notifications bell icon. For the mobile users, a push notification will be sent. Users will receive mobile notifications even if the mobile app is not being actively used, or the device is locked and irrespective of an app running in the background or not.

Notifications can be configured by selecting when to send the push notification, setting criteria(conditions to be met for the notification to be sent), selecting the recipient(Users or input fields in the form), and choosing the report for which the notification has to sent.
You can trigger a notification in various instances such as:
  • Notify on the status change in a task manager app
  • Notify when the package is shipped or an out-of-stock SKU is back in stock in an order management app
  • Notify company news/announcements to employees in an employee manager app and more
