Creating and managing pages

  1. Pages can be created in all plans of Creator.
  2. Only the super admin, admins, and developers can create and manage pages.

1. Setting up pages

In Zoho Creator, you can create pages anew or from predefined templates. After creating the initial layout, you can customize it using a user-friendly workspace that can be called the page builder. Here, you can add and manage various page elements, resize and place them coherently, create page variables, and write page scripts, and more.

1.3 Steps to create a page

1.3.1 Create a blank page
To create a page from scratch and hold full autonomy over customizing your dashboard from the beginning:
  1. Navigate to the edit mode of your application. Click the + icon on the top of the Design page, then click Page from the list of components displayed.


  2. Click Blank to create a page from scratch.


  3. Enter a name for your page and Click Create Page. The page builder from where you can edit your page opens.
    1. Add page elements from the left pane by dragging and dropping them onto the building space. Configure each element according to your requirements.

    2. Click the  icon at the top-right corner of the Design page to create page variables and page scripts. This allows you to perform custom operations within your page.
       

1.3.2 Create page from a template
To use a predefined template to create your dashboard:
  1. Navigate to the edit mode of your application. Click the + icon at the top of the Design page, then click Page from the list of components displayed.


  2. Click From a Template to choose from the ten templates that Creator offers.


  3. Hover over the required template and click Use Template.



  4. Enter a name for your page and click Create Page.
Upon successful page creation, the page builder will open. The page elements inserted in these pages by default will not have any configuration and can be configured according to your business requirements. You can also delete them if needed, and add new page elements.
 

2. Rename, duplicate or delete a page

Click the ellipsis () icon in the top-right corner of the page builder to rename, delete, or duplicate a page.
  1. Click Rename to change the page's name or link name.
  2. Click Duplicate to replicate the page. You can give it a new name if required in the popup that appears. All the page elements with their configuration, page variables, page scripts, and page properties will be duplicated in the new page.
  3. Click Delete to remove the page.

3. Manage page properties

Click the Properties () icon in the top-right corner of the page builder to access page properties.

  1. Background color - Pick a background color for your page from the listed options. You can also choose a Preset Color, or click More Colors to use the color palette or RGB/HEX codes.
Note: The default background color is set to white.
  1. Export as PDF - Click Enable to allow your end-users to download the target page as a PDF from the live mode of the application. By default, this option is disabled.
  1. Print - Click Enable to allow your end-users to print the target page from the live mode of the application. By default, this option is disabled.

4. Points to note

  1. If the application is newly created without any components, you will have to create at least one form before creating pages.
  2. You can resize and rearrange the elements within the building space according to your preference.
