Switching between the Standard and Card Form Types
Switching between Standard and Card Form Types in Zoho Forms provides flexibility in designing and presenting forms to suit different use cases.
Although, the choice between Standard and Card Form Types depends on the complexity of the form and the user experience you want to provide, read on the differences between Standard and Card Form types to assist you choose your form type.
Switching from Card Form to Standard Form
Here are the things you should know before you switch from the Card Form type to the Standard Form type.

| Theme Transition | Will switch to the default theme of the Standard Form |
| Welcome Page | Welcome Page (if included), will be removed |
| Field Types | Image Choices (Single-Select) will change to Image Choices (Radio) Image Choices (Multi-Select) will change to Image Choices (Checkbox) |
| Field Properties | Hover Text (if included), will be removed |
| Form Properties | Will not be retained |
| Form Header | Will be displayed by default (Can be hidden after switching) |
Switching from Standard Form to Card Form
Here are the things you should know before you switch from the Standard Form type to the Card Form type.

- If you have the Grid field, Page Break field or Section field on your Standard Form, remove the fields from the form before you switch to the Card Form type.
- If you have Formula field(s) in your Standard Form, place the fields involved in formula above their respective Formula field(s) before you switch.
How to switch form type?
To switch your form type from Standard to Card or vice-versa,
- In the forms listing (home page), under My Forms, hover over the horizontal ellipsis of the desired form as shown. Select Change Form Type from the options.
- A form type change pop-up will appear. Once you are clear about the modifications that will be made, select the form type you wish to switch to.
- You can also switch the form type directly from the Builder. Open the form in the Builder and click the form type toggle dropdown on the top-right corner of the builder. Select Standard or Card or Spotlight from the dropdown to switch the form type.
Note: The option to switch the form type is only available to the form owner.
