Convert Images to Forms


The Images to Form feature in Zoho Forms lets you upload one or more images (scanned paper forms, handwritten documents, or screenshots of online forms) and convert them into editable online forms using Zia AI. Each image is processed independently, and the detected fields are added to a single form in sequence. Once converted, you can edit the fields, update labels, customize the theme, and tailor the form to suit your requirements.

To convert document images into an online form:

  1. Click New Form in the top-right corner of your forms listing page.

  1. Select Images to Form to proceed.

  1. In the Convert Images to an Online Form popup, drag and drop images or click Upload to add them.

  2. If you want to add more images before conversion, click + Add Image on the preview screen.

    1. Supported image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, WEBP and JFIF.

    2. The maximum upload size supported per image is 5 MB. 

    3. A maximum of 5 images can only be uploaded. 

  1. Once all the required images are uploaded, click Convert to Form.

    Zia AI analyzes each image, identifies form fields, and generates an online form. 

    The fields identified from each image are placed in sequence one after the other within the same form. 

  2. Review the extracted fields in the Form Preview popup.
    You can update the Form Title and use Edit Fields to adjust field labels if required. When you’re ready, click Create Form.

  3. Validate the form preview, make changes using the Edit Fields option if needed, then click Create Form to finalize the online form.

  4. Your form will now open in the form builder. You can modify, add, or delete fields; change the theme; and configure rules, integrations, and workflows.

Choose the right option based on the type of file you have:

  • Use PDF to Forms when a document or form is already available as a PDF file.

  • Use Images to Form when you have to convert a paper form or a digital form quickly to an online form. Capture a photo or take a screenshot, and upload it to create the required form instantly.
