How to pass information from one form to another?

Want to redirect your respondents to another form right after they submit an entry?
 
Let's say you have a Product Enquiry form, and you want to provide your respondents with the option to request a free trial of your product. You could redirect them to a different form to make their free trial request!

If these forms contain repetitive questions, your respondents may find it tedious to fill out the same information a second time, and you may lose a potential lead to your product!
 
Zoho Forms understands how important a lead is for your business and this guide will help you redirect your respondents from one form to another while also prefilling information from the first form to the redirected form.
 
Let's take a look at how this works with the example above!

  1. Firstly, build both your forms for Product Enquiry and Free Trial Request. You can use the pre-built templates available for these forms and customize them to suit your needs.

  2. Configure Field Alias for the fields in the form that you wish your respondents to be redirected to (Free Trial Request).

  3. In the form builder of your first form (Product Enquiry form), navigate to the Settings tab.

  4. Click Acknowledgement & Redirects from the left menu and choose the Redirect To option.

  5. Select Another Form and enter the form name to which you wish to redirect your current form. Only the forms created by you will be listed here.

  6. You can also select whether the redirected form should open in the same window, a new window, or in the parent window.

  7. Select Prefill field values in redirected form.

  8. In the pop-up, map the Redirected Form Fields (denoted by the configured field aliases) that you wish to prefill to the Current Form Fields as shown.
