Rules are a set of simple if and then conditions using which you can get your forms to trigger different actions. If your respondent's answers match the set conditions, these actions will be triggered.
You can choose to:
- Show or hide relevant fields to your respondents based on their responses by configuring Field Rules.
- Send out emails to the required, assign tasks to the users within your organization, display a custom Thank You message or redirect respondents to a form or a website based on their responses by configuring Form Rules.
- Direct respondents to the pages relevant to them in a multi-page form based on their responses by configuring the Page Rules.
- Disable the submit action in the form if your defined set of conditions are satisfied using the rules to Deny Submissions.
Advantages of conditional rules
- You can make your long forms feel shorter by asking for additional details only when needed.
- Based on their responses, you can create a personalized flow for each user that can improve your conversions.
- Enhance user experience with forms that are tailored to user needs.
A conditional rule consists of the following elements:
- Rule Name: You can change the default name for your rule and provide an appropriate name of your choice for easy identification.
- Rule Criteria: Select if you wish the rule to be executed if any one condition is satisfied or only if all of the conditions are satisfied.
- Conditions: Define the conditions to be satisfied using your form fields.
- Actions: Select the actions to be triggered when the defined conditions are satisfied.
