1. Under Account Information, enter your PayPal Client ID and Client Secret. Refer to the steps required to obtain Client ID and Secret.
   
2. Select the required Currency in which you wish to receive payments.
   
3. Enter the Payment Amount. You can either set a fixed amount for payment or autofill the Payment Amount with a value from a form field.
   PayPal requires a minimum of $5 USD (or its equivalent amount in other currencies) for transactions.
4. To test the payment gateway with your form, select Sandbox Mode. Payments made using the sandbox mode will not involve real transactions.
   
5. Under Payment Information, you can change the default description that gets included in the email sent to the payers upon successful transactions. You can also include form responses in the description by clicking the merge icon.
   

6. Shipping Preference
   

• No Shipping: Select this option if you have no shipping preference.

• Payer-editable Address: This option will provide your form respondents with the option to edit their shipping address on PayPal's payment page. You can choose to map PayPal's  Name  and  Address  fields with the corresponding form fields as shown.

  
  

  
  

  Note: If you have not mapped PayPal's Address field with the corresponding form field, then the address from your form respondent's PayPal account will be used on the payment page by default. If the respondent has not provided any address in the PayPal account, they will still be able to provide an address on the payment page.

  Fixed Address: This option restricts your form respondents from editing their shipping address on PayPal's payment page. Map PayPal's Name and Address fields with the corresponding form fields as shown.
  
  
  

  Note: To avoid transaction failure, the form's Address field mapped with PayPal's Address field should be set as mandatory in your form and not be hidden. 

Steps to obtain PayPal Client ID and Secret

1. Go to PayPal and click Log in to Dashboard if you are not already logged in.
   
2. Under DASHBOARD, go to My Apps & Credentials.
   
3. Select Sandbox or Live, depending on your requirement.
   

• 
  If your selection is Sandbox, enter an App Name. Pick from the Sandbox Business Account list and click Create App.
  

• If your selection is Live, click Create App. Enter an App Name and click Create App.
  

4. 
   Copy the Client Key and the Client Secret credentials.
   

Note:

1. If you have configured the Payment field using Paypal Checkout, your form respondents can make payments directly using a credit card, without having to create a PayPal account.
   
2. Based on the region and availability, PayPal Checkout supports the following modes of payment: PayPal, Credit or debit cards, PayPal Credit, Venmo, SEPA-Lastschrift, Bancontact, EPS, Giropay, iDEAL, MyBank, Przelewy24, and Sofort.

When configuring payment gateways, sensitive information like secret keys and tokens are encrypted before they are stored in our database and are never exposed to other third party apps.
