If you have selected PayPal Checkout as the Payment Gateway,
- Under Account Information, enter your PayPal Client ID and Client Secret. Refer to the steps required to obtain Client ID and Secret.
- Select the required Currency in which you wish to receive payments.
- Enter the Payment Amount. You can either set a fixed amount for payment or autofill the Payment Amount with a value from a form field.
PayPal requires a minimum of $5 USD (or its equivalent amount in other currencies) for transactions. - To test the payment gateway with your form, select Sandbox Mode. Payments made using the sandbox mode will not involve real transactions.
- Under Payment Information, you can change the default description that gets included in the email sent to the payers upon successful transactions. You can also include form responses in the description by clicking the merge icon.
Shipping Preference
Under Shipping Information, select your Shipping Preference from any of the following options:
Under Payer Information, you can include Name, Email, Surname and Address of the respondent by mapping them to your form fields.This information will be pre-filled in the merchant site during payment.
Steps to obtain PayPal Client ID and Secret
- Go to PayPal and click Log in to Dashboard if you are not already logged in.
- Under DASHBOARD, go to My Apps & Credentials.
- Select Sandbox or Live, depending on your requirement.
If your selection is Sandbox, enter an App Name. Pick from the Sandbox Business Account list and click Create App.
If your selection is Live, click Create App. Enter an App Name and click Create App.
Copy the Client Key and the Client Secret credentials.
Note:
- If you have configured the Payment field using Paypal Checkout, your form respondents can make payments directly using a credit card, without having to create a PayPal account.
- Based on the region and availability, PayPal Checkout supports the following modes of payment: PayPal, Credit or debit cards, PayPal Credit, Venmo, SEPA-Lastschrift, Bancontact, EPS, Giropay, iDEAL, MyBank, Przelewy24, and Sofort.
When configuring payment gateways, sensitive information like secret keys and tokens are encrypted before they are stored in our database and are never exposed to other third party apps.
