Overview
If you would like to be notified instantly upon receiving form entries, so that you do not miss out on important updates such as leads generated or customer issues raised, you can configure Push Notification alerts on your Zoho Forms mobile app. You can configure to receive push notifications when form entries are added or updated.
Push Notifications - Mobile in Zoho Forms is supported in both
iOS and
Android apps. If you have not installed the Zoho Forms mobile app on your smartphone, click the following button to get it now.
Upon tapping the push notifications you receive, the Zoho Forms app will open up, and take you straight to the submitted or updated record.
You can send push notifications using:
- Push Notifications templates for added and updated records.
You can set up the title and message that gets displayed in the notification as required to get a quick context about a form entry or a record update. You can configure separate templates for new form submissions and existing record updates.
- Form Rules to send notifications when a condition is satisfied.
Setting up Push Notifications
To configure push notifications,
- In your form builder, click Settings > Mobile App > Push Notifications.
- Choose whether to send a push notification when a new record record is Added or existing record is Updated and click Configure.
- Enter a Title text for your Push Notification alert. You can merge values from form responses by clicking the merge icon and selecting the required fields.
- Enter your message. To merge values from form responses, click the merge icon and select the required fields.
- Click Save.

Setting up conditional Push Notifications
You can trigger Push Notifications for different sets of conditions based on your business workflows.
To set workflows for Push Notifications,
- Click Rules in your form builder and navigate to Form Rules.
- Click Configure and start defining your conditions to execute the workflow.
- Under Actions, choose Push Notification to Mobile.
- Configure a Notification Template for this workflow and click Save.

- To configure more rules to trigger Push Notifications, click +Rule, and repeat from step 2.
