Deleting a command template

Command templates can be deleted only from the developer application.

All Command operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.

To delete a Command template,
  1. Access the Developer Application.
  2. Select Asset or Devices or Location in the left pane based on the model from which you want to delete the command template. For this illustration, Device is selected.
  3. Click the name of the model you want to add the Command Template to. For this illustration, the device model Smart Equipment is considered.



  4. Select Commands in the left pane. This will open the command templates list view.



  5. Check the box near the name of the command template you want to delete and click the Delete button that appears. For this illustration, the command template Smart Device ON/OFF is selected.



  6. Click Check Dependencies in the Command Template Deletion validation popup.



  7. Click Delete in the Delete Template pop up.



The Command template will now be deleted from the model and all the reflected command will be removed from all the instances based on the model. 

Individual commands based on a command template cannot be deleted from an instance (device, asset, or location). They can be disabled by turning off the command status while editing the Command.
