Associating a user defined device product

Once a user defined device product is created, you can then associate it with the appropriate device model.

All Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.

To associate a custom device product to a model,

1. Access the Developer Application.
2. Select Device in the left pane.
3. Access the device model's information page by clicking on the name of the device model. For this illustration, the device model: Energy Meter is considered.
   
   
   
   
4. Select Supported Products in the left pane.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Associate.
   
   
   
   
6. Select the user defined device product from the drop-down list and click Next. For this illustration, the device product: EM4M is considered.
   
   
   
   
7. Verify the datapoint definitions of the device product (will be empty if no datapoint definitions are available) and click Confirm.
   

The selected product will now be associated with the device model.
