Connecting TRB246 gateway and EM6400NG energy meter

With the credentials updated in Edge Lite and the WAN port enabled on the TRB246, follow the connection layout below to connect the TRB246 device to the Conzerv EM6400NG energy meter.
  1. Power off the TRB246.
  2. Connect Pin 14 of the EM6400NG to the D+ pin of the RS485 port on the TRB246 using an RS485 cable.
  3. Connect Pin 7 of the EM6400NG to the D– pin of the RS485 port on the TRB246 using an RS485 cable.
  4. Connect the D+ pin to the A+ pin in the RS485 port of the TRB246 using a wire.
  5. Connect the D– pin to the A– pin in the RS485 port of the TRB246 using a wire.
  6. Connect the positive and negative wires of the power adapter to the corresponding + and – terminals of the RS485 port on the TRB246.
  7. Connect the positive line wire to Pin 13 and the negative live wire to Pin 12 of the EM6400NG.



  8. Power on the live wire and verify that the EM6400NG energy meter is displaying readings correctly. 
  9. Connect the LAN port in the TRB246 with the Ethernet port of your router. 
  10. Power on the TRB246 device.
Now that the physical set up is completed, we can proceed to remotely send the modbus registry mapping and the port settings to the TRB246 from the Zoho IoT application.
