Note: If you skipped the flow, you can access the device gallery by navigating to Devices > Devices > Add Device > Add Using Product Gallery > Proceed.
Registering a device for TRB246
With the energy meter device added to the application, you can now add the TRB246 gateway device to the Zoho IoT application. The connection credentials of the gateway device can then be used to establish communication between the Zoho IoT application and the physical gateway, and the gateway device can be linked to the energy meter within the application.
Adding/Registering the TRB246 gateway device
To add a TRB246 device,
- In the device gallery, search for TRB246.
- Click the required device product. For this example, TRB 246 is selected.
- On the device product information page, click Import and Proceed.
- In the Add Device form, provide the required information in the relevant fields.Model Type: Create New Model (This toggle appears only if a device model already exists)Model Name: GatewayName: MyTRB246Device Connectivity: MQTTDevice Application : Edge Agent
- Click Proceed. A new gateway device will be added.
- Click View Device.
- In the onboarding assistant, select Got An IoT Device and click Proceed.
- Click Manage.
- Click Assign.
- Select MyCZ6400 and click Next.
- Click Confirm.
- Close the dialog box.
- Click Proceed.
In the Onboarding Assistant, you will now see the connection details required to establish a connection with the Zoho IoT application.You will now see the connection details required to establish connection with the Zoho IoT application.
Do not close this tab. Proceed to the next step to install Edge Lite on the TRB246 device.
