How to connect Zoho Survey account with Zoho Marketing Automation

Zoho Survey is a platform to engage with your leads using an array of multi-lingual surveys with customized themes. Integrating it with Zoho Marketing Automation lets you send personalized, survey-based campaigns to your contacts and analyze how they've performed. This document will explore the scope of this integration, the steps to connect and disconnect your Zoho Survey integration, and the resultant changes that will reflect in your Zoho Marketing Automation account.

Prerequisites

  1. You must have an active account in Zoho Survey. If you have multiple active accounts, only a single account can be selected for this integration.
  2. You must be the organization administrator in Zoho Survey and Zoho Marketing Automation to initiate the integration.
  3. You must have at least one active survey in your Zoho Survey account.

Features

  1. You can fetch the surveys created in Zoho Survey and send them out to your target audience using survey-based campaigns in Zoho Marketing Automation.
  2. The survey merge tags available in Zoho Marketing Automation allow to bring in the survey name and survey links to the email campaign content.
  3. You can automate survey campaigns using the 'survey started', and 'survey completed' actions in Journeys.
  4. Analyze survey reports including survey completed contacts, survey not started, survey started, and survey sent.

Note:
  1. Once you successfully integrate both applications, you can view a list of published surveys created using Zoho Survey while creating a new survey campaign.
  2. Currently, you'll be able to view the surveys created under the default department of Zoho Surveys. Zoho Marketing Automation will soon support the other survey types as well.
  3. To track how many contacts have completed the survey, you can check the reports section of the respective survey campaign. This feature is exclusive to survey campaigns. You won't be able to track this data if you've used a survey URL in a regular campaign.

How to connect Zoho Survey

Follow the steps given below to integrate your Zoho Survey account with Zoho Marketing Automation.
  1. Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Click Zoho, Marketing, or Survey under Categories, then select Zoho Survey.

How to disconnect the Zoho Survey integration

The following changes will take place when you disconnect your Zoho Survey integration with Zoho Marketing Automation:
  1. You won't be able to view the surveys created using Zoho Survey in your campaign creation flow.
  2. All the scheduled survey campaigns in your Zoho Marketing Automation account will be moved to drafts.
  3. All the survey campaigns in the in progress status will be stopped.
  4. You won't be able to use the survey merge tags in your campaigns.
  5. You won't be able to use the survey-based actions in journeys.
Follow the steps given below to disconnect your Zoho Survey account.
