Zoho Meeting Extension

Zoho Meeting's Extension  will help you add notes and comments, draw shapes, or highlight parts of your screen while screen sharing.

Info
Zoho Meeting extension(annotator) is only available in Zoho Meeting's paid meeting and webinar editions.

Install Annotator : 

  1. Navigate to the meeting toolbar to share your screen.

     

  1. Click on the Annotate icon

  1. You will be directed to a pop-up to download and install the annotator

 

Notes
Note : Zoho Meeting Extension will work only while sharing the entire screen and during an ongoing session.

 For windows :

  1. Download the Annotator agent by clicking the Download button at the end of this pop-up.

  1. Find the downloaded zohomeetingannotator.exe file and open it to start the installation

  1. Zoho Meeting Annotator will automatically launch and will be ready to use

 

For Mac :

  1. Download the Annotator agent by clicking the Download button at the end of this pop-up.

  1. Copy the Zoho Meeting Annotator agent to the Applications folder in your mac.

  1. Zoho Meeting Annotator will automatically launch, if not, it can be opened from the Applications folder.

 

For Linux :

To install Zoho Meeting's annotator, use the  command, shown in the pop up,  in the command prompt



Notes

Note :

Zoho Meeting Extension can only be accessed by clicking on the annotate icon during an ongoing session. An error will be shown during the following cases :

  • Accessing annotator from Zoho Meeting Ex application directly

  • Network failure while accessing Zoho Meeting Annotator

  • License restriction to use Zoho Meeting Annotator

 An error, like the ones below, will be displayed for the above cases

Features :

  • Cursor - The cursor tool will help you interact with the shared screen.

  • Text  - The text tool will enable you to write comments or leave specific notes

  • Pencil - Use the freehand drawing tool to draw or circle areas on the screen

  • Square,Line and Circle - Use the square,line and circle shapes to highlight areas.

  • Eraser - The eraser tool will help you remove the annotations you have made

  • Clear all - Use the Delete option to remove all the annotations you have made at once.

Note

For Linux users :

  • Text and cursor tool is not available for Linux, however user can right click to switch to the cursor.

  • The annotator feature won't work if the linux device uses Wayland. Disable Wayland to use Zoho Meeting Annotator.

  • Once the application is closed, it will be deleted automatically.

         Supported from macOS version 11 and later.
