Delete Your Zoho Account

Overview

If you no longer wish to use Zoho Notebook or any other Zoho services, you can permanently close your Zoho account. Closing your account removes your access to Zoho Notebook and permanently deletes the data associated with your account.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted/ closed, your Notebook data and other Zoho service data cannot be recovered.

Before You Close Your Account

Before proceeding, we recommend that you:

  • Export your Zoho Notebook data if you want to keep a copy of your notes. 
  • Ensure you no longer require access to any Zoho services linked to your account.
  • Sign out of Zoho Notebook on all your devices after your data has been exported.
  • Cancel all active subscriptions associated with your Zoho account. You must cancel any active paid subscriptions before you can close your account. 

WarningImportant: You won't be able to Close your Zoho account while an active subscription is associated with it. Cancel your subscription first, then proceed with closing your account.

Close Your Zoho Account

  1. Sign in to your Zoho Account at https://accounts.zoho.com
  2. Open the Accounts Console
  3. Navigate to Settings
  4. Scroll to the Close Account section. 
  5. Click Close Account
  6. Select the reason for closing your account. 
  7. Confirm your decision to permanently delete your account. 

Your account will be closed, and your data will be permanently removed according to Zoho's account deletion policy.

What Happens After Closing Your Account?

After your account is closed:

  • Your Zoho Notebook data is permanently deleted. 
  • You can no longer sign in to Zoho Notebook using that account. 
  • Your subscriptions and access to other Zoho services associated with the account will also be terminated. 
  • The deleted account cannot be restored. 

Important Notes

  • If your account belongs to a organization, additional restrictions may apply. Contact your organization administrator before attempting to close your account. 
  • Closing your Zoho account affects all Zoho services associated with that account, not just Zoho Notebook.

1. Can I recover my account after closing it?

No. Closing a Zoho account is permanent and cannot be reversed.

2. Will closing my Zoho account only remove my Notebook data?

No. Closing your Zoho account removes your access to all Zoho services associated with that account, including Zoho Notebook.

3. Should I export my Notebook data before closing my account?

Yes. We strongly recommend exporting your Notebook data before closing your account, as deleted data cannot be recovered.

4. Why can't I close my Zoho account?

If you have an active paid subscription associated with your Zoho account, you'll need to cancel the subscription first. Once all active subscriptions have been cancelled, you can proceed with closing your Zoho account.

5. I only want to stop using Zoho Notebook. Do I need to close my Zoho account?

No. If you simply no longer wish to use Notebook, you can uninstall the application or stop using the service. Closing your Zoho account removes access to all Zoho services linked to that account.
