Activate users

Prerequisites

  1. Org Owner
  2. Org Admin
  3. Custom role with "Change user status" permission.

Overview 

If a user was previously deactivated, you can reactivate their account at any time, provided your organization has available user licenses.

What happens when you activate a user?

  1. Restores Access: The user regains access to their Zoho One account and all previously assigned applications and resumes their work without any data loss.
  2. Roles and Permissions: Any roles, permissions, or groups the user held before deactivation are automatically restored unless manually changed during the inactive period.

1. Sign in to Zoho One, then click  on the top-right corner.
2. Click Users, then click on the required user. You can also find the user using the search bar.
3. Click Activate.

1. Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
2. Click Users, then click on the required user. You can also find the user using the search bar.
3. Click Activate.


Mobile UI

For iOS devices

  1. Open the Zoho One app on a mobile device, then tap  on the top-right corner.
  2. Under USERS, select Inactive Users.
  3. Tap and hold on the users you want to activate.
  4. Tap Activate.

For Android devices

  1. Open the Zoho One app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap   in the bottom-right corner, then tap Users.
  3. Use the dropdown under Users to select Inactive Users.
  4. Tap and hold on the user you want to activate.
  5. Tap Activate.
Possible Errors
You are trying to activate more users than the allowed license limit of 'n' users.
