How to add and customize your push message in Zoho PageSense | Help Guide?

Add and customize your push message

Add a personal touch to your automated push notifications and establish an instant connection with your customers. In PageSense, you can configure your push message's title and description based on your audience segments, and keep users engaged throughout the website journey. It also supports adding images, brand logos, and call-to-action(CTA) buttons that direct subscribers to other web pages, and ensure they spend more time on your web pages. Craft rich push messages with relevant content and images that will help your business stay on top in the market.

To add and customize your push message:
1. Once you choose your desired notification type, go to the MESSAGE tab and add an appropriate title, description, and URL link you want the users to land on when they click your notification. Apart from this, you can also add the query parameters to your URL.

Idea
For example, let us say you own an e-commerce site and wish to send out an extra discount and free shipping offer on existing cart items. In this case, you can customize your notification text like 'Free shipping on cart! Get 30% off and free shipping on all your cart items today. Hurry up!' as shown in the figure.

InfoThe title and description are limited to 75 characters and may be truncated in the actual display, depending on your chosen device and platform. We recommend testing on different QA devices to ensure your content displays properly.
2. You can choose to add the following elements to your web push notification:
  • ICON: Today's users are bombarded with notifications, so it's essential to get your users' attention when your push notification pops up. Adding your logo helps users build brand recall. The supported icon formats are JPG, JPEG, and PNG, and the recommended icon size is 192x192 px. The default icon shown is the Zoho PageSense logo

  • BANNER: Visuals help you amplify your message and make it eye-catching. Adding a banner image to your notification content will increase your chance of getting those extra user clicks. The supported banner image formats are JPG, JPEG, and PNG, and the recommended banner size is 360x240 px.

  • BUTTONS: Add up to two CTAs in your notification. These buttons can be used to trigger different actions. For example, taking the user to the website sign-up page, sending out a social message (Tweet), or opening the e-commerce site. CTA buttons in PageSense are only supported by Chrome. Firefox and Safari do not support PageSense at this time.

Notes
Depending on the device and operating system you choose, a preview of your push notification will be displayed on the right side of the screen.
