Modify and remove task dependencies, and set lag or lead times from the List, Gantt, and Kanban views. Change dependency types, unlink dependencies, and adjust the time gap between tasks directly from each view's task details.
Modify Task Dependency Type from the List view
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the List view.
- Hover over the task name and click
to open view details. - Scroll down and click Dependency section.
- Click on the current dependency type and select the desired dependency type from the drop-down.

Modify Task Dependency Type from Gantt View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the Gantt view.
- Click Dependent Task in the chart, then select the desired dependency type from the drop-down.
Modify Task Dependency Type from Kanban View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the List view.
- Hover over the task name and click
to open view details.
- Scroll down and click Dependency section.
- Click on the current dependency type and select the desired dependency type from the drop-down.
Remove Task Dependency from List View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the List view.
- Hover over the task name and click
to open view details.
- Scroll down and click Dependency section.
- Hover over Dependent Task, click
, click Unlink, then select Remove.

Remove Task Dependency from Gantt View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the Gantt view.
- Click Dependent Task in the chart to view dependency information.
- Hover over Predecessor or Successor, click
, click Unlink, then select Remove.
Remove Task Dependency from Kanban View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the Gantt view.
- Click on a task to open the details page.
- Scroll down and click the Dependency section.
- Hover over Predecessor or Successor, click
, click Unlink, then select Remove.
Set Lag or Lead from Task List View
Lag is the time gap between the predecessor and successor tasks. If the lag value is negative, it is known as lead time.
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section,, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the List view.
- Hover over the task name and click
to open view details.
- Scroll down and click Dependency section.
- Navigate to the Lag column and click on the respective field.
- Enter the Lag value.
Set Lag or Lead from Task Gantt View
- Navigate to a project from the Recent Projects section, or select a project from the Projects tab.
- Click Tasks in the top navigation panel and open the Gantt view.
- Click on Dependent Task in the chart to view Dependency Information.
- Navigate to the Lag column and click on the respective field.
- Enter the Lag value.
