1. Overview

Configuring Zia in Zoho QEngine determines which AI model powers its capabilities, from generating AI-powered manual test cases to producing realistic, structured test data for more meaningful test coverage.

QEngine supports four AI models for Zia: Zoho GenAI, OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic. You can choose the AI model that best fits your needs. Once enabled, it powers all of Zia's capabilities across QEngine.

1.1 How configuration works

Zia requires a one-time setup that enables AI-assisted testing across QEngine. Zoho GenAI is built into QEngine and can be activated instantly without any additional setup. For third-party AI integrations like OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic, you will need valid API credentials from your respective account before activation. Once configuration is complete, Zia is ready to use across all its capabilities in QEngine.

2. Configuring third-party AI models

Zia works with the AI model you choose to enable in QEngine. Zoho GenAI is built into QEngine and requires no API credentials. For OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic, you will need a valid API key from your respective account before getting started.

4. Points to note

Model configuration

  • The AI model configured for Zia applies to all AI-powered capabilities in QEngine. You cannot select different models for different features.

  • Only one AI model can be active at a time. When you enable a new model, the current one will be automatically disabled.

  • API keys are generated and managed from the respective provider's platform. Ensure the key is active and valid before connecting it in QEngine.

Rate limits

  • API rate limits may apply since these are restrictions that the AI provider imposes on the number of times a user can access their services within a specified period of time, and vary based on their usage tier and the model consumed.

  • Rate limits for AI models can be referred to from the respective provider's official documentation.

Privacy

  • It is recommended not to include sensitive or confidential information in prompts while using Zia.

  • Zoho GenAI is Zoho's proprietary AI model, built and trained entirely within Zoho's infrastructure. Your data remains protected within Zoho's ecosystem.
