Evaluating multiple applications for a job can be time-consuming when you review each candidate individually. Compare Applications offers a more efficient way to assess candidates side by side. Compare their qualifications, experience, and application details, and review feedback in one place to make informed hiring decisions.

Use cases

Comparing applicants for a job opening

When multiple candidates apply for the same job opening, you can select their applications and compare them side by side. Instead of switching between records or compiling information in spreadsheets, you can review their qualifications, ratings, comments, and other application details in one place. This makes it easier to assess each candidate against the same job requirements and make informed hiring decisions.

Reviewing a candidate's applications across multiple job openings

A candidate may apply for multiple job openings in your organization. Instead of reviewing each application separately, you can select the candidate's applications across different job openings and compare them in a single view.

This lets you review the candidate's application details, ratings, comments, and attachments across different roles, helping you understand how their profile and evaluation history vary between applications.

Note: Each application is evaluated against its associated job opening. They are not directly comparable.

Accessing Compare Applications

You can access Compare Applications from the Job Openings and Applications modules.

From the Job Openings module

Go to the Job Openings module, and open the required job opening.
Under the Quick Access panel, select Applications.
Select the applications you want to compare.
Click the More options icon and select Compare Applications.
You can then view the selected applications side by side for comparison.

From the Applications module

Go to the Applications module.
Select the applications you want to compare from the list view.
Click the More options icon and select Compare Applications.
You can then view the selected applications side by side for comparison.

Note: To compare applications against the same requirements, apply filters such as Job Opening before selecting applications. You can also compare applications submitted by the same candidate for different job openings.

Actions you can perform

You can perform the following actions on individual applications while comparing them:

Change Status: Update the status of the application based on its current stage in the hiring process.
Pin Record: Keep one application fixed in place while you review the others. You can pin one application at a time.
Send Mail: Send an email to the candidate directly from the comparison page.
Send SMS: Send an SMS to the candidate directly from the comparison page.
Submit to Client: Submit the application to the associated client for review.
Schedule Interview: Schedule an interview with the candidate.
Remove from Compare Applications: Remove the application from the comparison without affecting the application record.

Note: You can select up to the maximum number of applications allowed by your plan.

Comparing applications side by side

The Compare Applications page displays the selected applications side by side, allowing you to review their details in one place.

The comparison page provides the following sections to help you review applications.

Rating and Comments

Review the ratings and comments recorded for each application. This section helps you understand the feedback provided by recruiters and interviewers during the evaluation process.

Fields Comparison

Compare application field values side by side. The fields are organized into sections, such as Basic Info, to help you review the information available for each application.

Select Show all fields to view all available fields in the comparison.

Attachments

Review the attachments associated with each application in one place.

Zia Insights (Enterprise Plan only)

Enterprise users can enable Zia Insights to view AI-generated ratings, recommendations, role fit, potential concerns, and suggested next steps while comparing applications.
