Zia Insights is disabled by default. You must enable it to view AI-generated insights in Compare Applications.
To enable Zia Insights:
Go to Setup > Zia > Zia Insights.
Enable the Zia Insights toggle.
Alternatively, you can click Enable Zia Insights next to How it works on the Compare Applications page. This redirects you to the Zia Insights settings page.
Once enabled, Zia Insights is available when comparing applications.
Zia evaluates each application independently against the requirements of its associated job opening. It analyzes the available application information and team feedback to assess the application's suitability for the role.
Reviews the job requirements: Zia considers the job opening's description, required skills, experience requirements, and other relevant details.
Analyzes application information: Zia uses the candidate's resume and relevant application and profile fields. If a usable resume isn't available, Zia may use eligible candidate profile fields instead.
Considers team feedback: Zia uses written feedback recorded in reviews for the candidate's application and associated job opening.
Generates insights: Based on the available information, Zia generates an overall rating, a recommendation, role-fit details, potential concerns, and suggested next steps.
This evaluation is performed independently for each application, even when applications are at different recruitment stages. Zia does not rank applications against one another.

Note: The insights generated depend on the information available to Zia. Incomplete information may limit the insights generated.
Resume and profile fields: When a resume is available, Zia considers it along with relevant candidate profile fields. If a resume is unavailable, Zia uses the available profile fields, such as skills, experience, and education.
Job requirements: Zia considers the job description, required skills, and other relevant details of the associated job opening.
Ratings and reviews: Zia considers the ratings and reviews recorded against the application, including feedback provided during screening, submission, interviews, and other evaluation stages.
Rating | Recommendation |
4.5-5 | Strongly Recommend |
3.5-4 | Recommend with Conditions |
2.5-3 | Hold / Consider for Adjusted Scope or Level |
1-2 | Not Recommended |
Key Insights: A one-sentence verdict identifying the most decisive factor.
Role Fit: Two or three points explaining how the candidate matches the job requirements.
Potential Concerns: Up to three specific gaps to check before making a decision. If no significant concerns are identified, Zia states this.
Next Suggestions: A suggested next step, such as proceeding to an interview or asking about a specific gap.
If there is too little candidate information to assess the application, Zia does not show a rating or recommendation and indicates that the candidate data is insufficient. The Zia Insights rating is separate from the Zia Matches score and may differ because Zia Insights also considers written team feedback.
When you compare applications associated with the same job opening, Zia evaluates each application against the same job requirements. You can review their ratings and insights side by side to understand how each candidate meets those requirements.
Zia evaluates each application independently based on its associated job opening and available information, regardless of its recruitment stage. It does not rank applications against one another, even when they are compared side by side.
You can also compare applications associated with different job openings. In this case, Zia evaluates each application against the requirements of its respective job opening.
Since the evaluation criteria may differ, the ratings and insights of applications associated with different job openings are not directly comparable. To review applications against common requirements, apply filters such as Job Opening before selecting them.
