3. Configure access levels & permissions
Prior to adding employees to your organization, ensure that you configure their access levels and permissions so that each employee has access to the required modules from the start.
Before you begin
Zoho Shifts has three default access levels: Administrator, Manager, and Employee. Administrator can access all modules. Other access levels can be configured according to your requirements. You also have the option to create custom access levels.
Permissions are based on the schedules to which each employee is assigned. For instance, a Manager with 'Add, Edit Employees' permission can add employees only to the schedules they are part of, fostering an organized workflow in adding employees.
Creating and configuring access levels
Go to Settings > Access Levels under Employee. From there, you can either create a new access level or configure permissions for an existing one.
To create a custom access level:
- Click +Add Access Level.
- Enter the name of your new access level.
- Click Save.
To configure permissions for an access level:
- Click an access level that you want to configure.
- Enable or disable the permissions based on your requirements.
- Click Save Access Level.
