Manage time off requests

Manage employees' time off requests in Zoho Shifts to ensure adequate workforce availability at all times. Employees with administrator access or permission to approve other employees' time off can approve, deny, or edit time off requests.

Before you start

  1. You'll need one of these permissions to manage other employees' time off requests:
    1.  Add, edit other employees' time off
    2. Approve other employees' time off 
  2. Time off requests may or may not require approval, depending on the time off policy configuration.

To manage time off requests

  1. Navigate to Time Off > Requests. Set the date range and use filters, such as schedule, request status, and employee, to refine the request list.
  2. Click the time off request and verify its details and balance.
  3. To edit an employee's time off request, click Edit. See Add time off for employees for more information.
  4. Select Approve or Deny.
  5. Add a comment (optional).
  6. Click Save.
On mobile
  1. Open the Zoho Shifts mobile app.
  2. Tap Requests at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the request you want to manage.
  4. Verify the request details and balance.
  5. To edit the request, tap the edit icon in the top-right corner. See Add time off for employees for more information.
  6. To add a comment, tap Add Comment and enter your text.
  7. Select Approve or Deny as needed.
