Add media files to slides

Visuals are more effective than text when explaining your content. They also create an impact on your audience. With Show's app for Android you can include audio, video, and image files in your slides to make your presentation more interesting.

 

  Add media files: 

  1. Open the required slide and tap the insert icon in the top-right corner.



  2. Tap Media in the bottom of the screen and select a media type from the list.

  • Camera: Capture an image directly from your device's camera.

  • Images: Add images from your device or local storage.

  • Videos: Add videos from your device or local storage.

  • Music: Add audio files from your device or local storage.

  • Record: Record audio from your device.

  • URL: Copy paste the URL of an image from any external site.

  • Library: Consists of the images that you have used in your slides. You can also choose to upload licensed images for you to use across your presentations.

    



  1. Tap the selected media file to add it to your slide.


  1. To lock your media file from editing, tap the file and choose Lock. To unlock your media file from editing, tap the file and choose Unlock.



  1. Use the pointers to resize the media file or drag and place it anywhere on the slide.

 

To crop an image to size and fit use   and  respectively.

Your video files should be within 50 MB.

 Add media files via add-ons: 

 

Show also offers add-ons that allow you to find and add your preferred media file to your slide from right within the app

 

  1. Open the required slide and tap the insert icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Tap Media in the bottom of the screen

  3. Select an add-on from the list.

  • Google Search: Search and add images that you are licensed to use.

  • Giphy:  Add GIFs (text, stickers, and emojis)

  • YouTube: Search and add a YouTube video or simply paste the YouTube video link to add to your slide.

  • Dailymotion: Search and add a Dailymotion video or simply paste a link from Dailymotion to add to your slide.

  • Pexels: Add high quality stock images and videos to your slide.

  1. Tap the selected media file to add it to your slide.



To add videos from Dailymotion and YouTube, tap the preferred video and tap the checkmark icon in the top-right corner.

  1. To lock your media file from editing, tap the file, and choose Lock. To unlock your media file from editing, tap the file and choose Unlock.



  1. Use the pointers to resize the media file or drag and place it anywhere on the slide.

  

Delete media files:

 

  1. Long-press the file to select it and choose Delete.


  2. To delete multiple files, long-press the first file, then tap to select the other files and choose the Delete icon.
