The Show app for iOS comes with several choices for you to format and customize shapes on slides. These editing options help brighten your shapes and emphasize content placed within them.
Apply fill to shapes
Fill your empty shapes with a solid color, gradient, pattern, or picture style. The iOS app offers a wide range of pre-made designs so you can pick the one that matches your slide background and brand.
- Tap on the shape you want to apply a fill style to and click the Format option. This will open the different shape formatting options on the bottom pane.
- Tap Fill from the list and choose from the four types of shape fill: Solid Fill, Gradient Fill, Pattern Fill, and Picture Fill.
- Solid Fill applies a single color uniformly to the whole shape. You can pick a fill from Theme Colors or Standard Colors and adjust the Transparency of the fill. You can also pick a Custom Color using the More Colors option.
- Gradient Fill applies a continuous blend of two or more different colors. You can select either a light or dark shade of the gradient using the Linear, Radial, and Angular options. Click More Options to set the brightness of the gradient using the slide stopper. You can also set other properties like Angle and Transparency. You can also pick a Custom Color using the Change Color option.
- Pattern Fill applies a pattern as a shape fill. Pick a design from the presets available and set a Foreground and Background Color. You can also set the Scale and Rotate values for the pattern fill using the respective sliders.
- Picture Fill applies a picture or texture as a shape fill. Pick a fill from the available presets and adjust its Transparency using the slider. You can tile the image within the shape and change its offset and scale using the Offset X, Offset Y, Scale X, and Scale Y buttons. You can also upload a picture from your camera, image library, or photos using the Plus icon in the top-left corner.

If you want to remove a fill applied to your shape, disable the Fill switch.
