Format a slide
A slide consists of a layout with text and slide elements required for the presentation. You can change the design of the slides to make them visually appealing. With the slide formatting options in the Show app for iOS, you can customize the layout, add or change the background, add a footer note, and change the theme, fonts, and colors of the presentation.
Tap on a slide and tap Format at the bottom. This will open the slide formatting options for that slide.

Tap the slide thumbnail and tap to choose a layout from the options available.
Background
- Tap Fill.
- Toggle the Follows layout switch on for the slide to follow the existing background of the layout.
- To apply other fill options, toggle the Follows layout switch off.
- Tap Fill to choose a fill style for the slide.
To learn how to apply fill to a slide, click here. - Tap Apply to All to apply the selected fill option to all the slides in the presentation.
- Toggle the Hide Background Graphics switch to remove the background elements in the slide.
FOOTER
- Toggle the Show slide number switch to show the slide number in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
- Toggle the Footer message switch to include any content at the bottom of the slide.
- Toggle the Date switch. It is classified into Fixed Date and Update Automatically.
Fixed Date - Tap the Fixed date tab.
- Tap Selected Date to choose the date that you want to appear in the slide.
- Tap More Options to select a date format.
Update Automatically - Tap the Update Automatically tab. The current date in your time zone gets automatically selected.
- Tap More Options to select a date format.
- Tap Apply to All to apply the footer options to all the slides in the presentation.
OPTIONS
- Toggle the Hide Slide switch to hide the selected slide during slideshow.
- Toggle the Lock Slide(s) switch to disable any collaborator from editing the selected slide.
Theme
Tap the Theme tab.
Change the theme
Tap the slide thumbnail to change the theme of the presentation.
SCHEME
- Tap Font to select a header and body font from the available theme fonts and tap Apply.
- Tap Color to select the colors from the available theme colors and tap Apply.
