Overview

Set an End Date for Your Survey     

1. Select the required survey and click the Builder option from the left pane.
   
2. Click the Publish tab. 
   
3. Select the required collector or create a new one.  
   
4. Click General Restrictions from the left pane.
   
5. In the Survey End Date section, select the date and time at which you want to stop collecting responses.
   

            

1. Click Save.
   

Note: The survey closes at the specified time in the survey author's time zone.   

Collect Respondent Information 

Enable the following options to collect additional respondent details alongside survey responses.

Collect IP Address     

1. In the Publish tab, click General Restrictions in the left pane.
   
2. Select IP address to collect and display in respondents' reports.
   
3. Uncheck IP Address to stop collecting this information.
   
4. Click Save.
   

1. In the Publish tab, click General Restrictions in the left pane.
   
2. Select User Agent to collect respondents' browser details and display them in reports.
   
3. Uncheck User Agent to disable this selection.
   
4. Click Save.
   

Note: For Email Invites by Zoho Survey and SMS Invites by Zoho Survey collectors you can collect Email Address, Phone number, First Name, Last Name, and Contact Variables from the respondents by checking the appropriate checkbox.

Note: For Email Invites by Zoho Services Collector, you can collect Email Address, Contact ID, Name, and Ticket Number from the respondents by checking the appropriate checkbox.

Note: For Organization Invites by Zoho Services Collector, you can collect email addresses from the respondents by checking the appropriate checkbox.

Collect Geolocation   

1. Click General Restrictions on the left pane of the Publish tab.
   
2. Select Geolocation. Read more on enabling location access on your device.
   
3. Click Save.
   

            

Note:

The geolocation feature is not supported when distributing surveys via Facebook, in accordance with Facebook's security policy.

1. Open System Preferences on your Mac device.
   
2. Click Security & Privacy and select the Privacy tab.
   
3. Click the lock icon in the bottom-left corner to make changes to the settings.
   
4. Unlock it with your system credentials or touch ID.
   
5. Select Enable Location Services.
   

            

1. Open Settings on your Windows 10 device.
   
2. Navigate to Privacy.
   
3. Click Location in the App permissions section in the left pane.
   
4. Click Change and turn the Location access for this device toggle button On.
   

            

1. Open Settings on your Linux device.
   
2. Click Privacy and select Location Services.
   
3. Turn the Location Services toggle button On.
   

            

1. Open Settings on your iOS device.
   
2. Click Privacy and select Location Services.
   
3. Turn the Location Services toggle button On.
   

            

1. Open Settings on your Android device.
   
2. Click Location.
   
3. Turn the Location access toggle button On.
