Zoho Vault is a cloud-based password manager that helps individuals, teams, and enterprises to securely store, share, and manage passwords, credit cards, keys, certificates, and other sensitive information from anywhere and at any time in a centeralized encrypted vault.
Zoho Vault's native Mac app provides the same level of security as the web version, giving you convenient access to your data while keeping it protected.

Getting started
- Install Zoho Vault from the App Store.
- Log in using your Zoho account credentials or your Identity Provider (IdP).
- Setup a strong and memorable master password to secure your vault. This password will be required to access your vault.
- Get started by adding all your passwords and other sensitive data to your secure vault.
Note: If you don't have a Zoho account, create a new one to access Zoho Vault. For existing users, reach out to your organization's admin to get an invitation to join their Zoho Vault account. Adding and editing passwords
- Click + from the top-right corner of the All Passwords tab.
- Save passwords of websites from the popular options displayed in the Sites tab. To save other types of sensitive data, click Categories.
- Fill in the required details, then click Save.
- Click the password you wish to edit, then click Edit from the top.
Sharing and deleting passwords
You can share or delete passwords in three ways:
- Find the password you want to work with. Right-click and choose Share or Delete depending on your action.
- Click the password icon to choose one or more passwords to perform this action on multiple passwords.
- Alternatively, you can access the Password details page and select Share or Delete from there.
Managing passwords
- To mark any password as favorites, click the password, then select Add to favorites.
- Use filters to sort the passwords in your account. Select a filter (such as All Passwords, Owned by Me, or All Shared Passwords) from the Passwords tab to filter accordingly. You can also sort your passwords based on their categories.
Siri shortcuts
Access your passwords from Siri with a custom phrase. To do so:
- Select Add to Siri shortcuts from the Password details page.
- Set a phrase to access your password directly from Siri.
Creating folders
- Click + from the top-right corner of the Folders page.
- Enter a folder name, then add passwords to the folder accordingly.
Note: You can create a folder as a subfolder of an existing folder as well. Viewing Folders
Access all the folders stored in our
web application from the
Folders tab. You can view all your passwords grouped under these folders and access all them accordingly.
Managing Access Requests
- Click the Approvals tab.
- In the Approval Requests, you can view all password access requests waiting for your approval. Approve or reject requests based on the reason specified for access.
- View the status of all your access requests from My Requests.
Note: You can also raise an access request for a password from the Passwords tab. Access passwords offline
Zoho Vault allows you to access your passwords even when you're offline or when your network connection is poor. All passwords that were last accessed when you were online can be accessed when you go offline.
Note: Offline access will only be available after your first successful login with vault.
Autofill passwords and auto log in to websites
- Click the Settings tab, select General, then select AutoFill passwords.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to allow Zoho Vault to autofill your passwords across apps and websites.
- Alternatively, select a password and click the auto-login icon from the URL field to automatically log in to the website using our in-app browser.
Unlock Vault
Enable this option to unlock the app with your fingerprint without typing the master password.
You can unlock Zoho Vault with your touch ID. To do so:
- Click the Settings tab, then select Security.
- Turn on Touch ID. You will be able to access the Vault app next time without typing the master password.
Configure additional features from the Settings tab to increase the efficiency of your app.

| - Auto-lock timeout: Determine how long your app should remain active when you access other apps.(1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or never). For security reasons, we recommend against choosing Never.
- Stay signed in: Set how long the app should remain signed in to your Zoho account after you have switched out or closed the app. (one day, one week, two weeks, one month and always).
- Lock on exit: Enable this option to lock Zoho Vault immediately after you exit the app.
- Clear Clipboard: Set how long the items you copy remain in your clipboard after closing the app. (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 2 minutes). We recommend you this to set a lower value, if possible.

General
| - Search with Spotlight: Enabling this option will allow your passwords to be indexed in Apple Spotlight. This way, you can search your passwords directly from Spotlight search.
- Apple Watch: Enable this option to access passwords from your Apple Watch.

Uninstalling the app
To remove the Zoho Vault app from your desktop:
- Sign out of the Zoho Vault application.
- Locate the Zoho Vault icon on your device's launcher.
- Press and hold the icon until all the icons start jiggling.
- A small X (delete button) will appear next to the Zoho Vault icon. Click the X to uninstall the app.
- Alternatively, you can drag the Zoho Vault icon to the Trash.
Note: Uninstalling the app will also remove all Zoho Vault data stored on your device.
