What is the difference between auto login and single sign-on?

Single sign-on helps businesses implement passwordless authentication. Using single sign-on (SSO), you can leverage your existing Zoho credentials to access multiple third-party applications. SSO works based on trust based authentication where a trust relationship is set up between the service provider (the application you're trying to authenticate with) and the identity provider (Zoho Vault). Here's how you can set up single sign-on for your business applications using Zoho Vault

Auto login is a feature offered by Zoho Vault that helps users log in to different applications without manually entering their credentials. Zoho Vault's browser extensions detect the login fields of websites and autofill passwords from your Vault accordingly. Unlike SSO, auto login is a password-based authentication and can be used  for applications that do not support single sign-on.
