Configuring MFA for online accounts with Zoho OneAuth

Configuring MFA and autofill OTP with Zoho OneAuth

You can now configure and manage Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for your stored accounts in Zoho Vault with the help of our Zoho OneAuth integration. Once you download the Zoho OneAuth app to your phone, you can login to your account and configure the TOTP keys in the OneAuth app as 'OneAuth Secrets.' This is similar to configuring TOTP keys on any authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy by manually entering TOTP key/scanning the QR code.

Once you have added these OneAuth Secrets in the OneAuth app they need to be linked with your Zoho Vault account via the browser extension. To do this:

1. Access the Zoho Vault browser extension and edit the password for which you would like to add/map the OTP secret (TOTP code) available in OneAuth.
2. You can select the +Additional Fields option and choose OneAuth Secrets as depicted in the snapshot below.

3. Choose the respective OneAuth Secret corresponding to the password or online application for which the TOTP needs to be filled and update the password.

4. You can now use the Vault browser extension to auto-login to the website and once the email address & password information are auto-filled you will be re-directed to the TFA authentication webpage.

For the TOTP auto-fill to work on the respective website, you will get a push notification on your Zoho OneAuth app upon the verification of which the OneAuth secret/TOTP code will be auto-filled on the website. You don't need to use the fill TOTP option manually from the extension in order to fill the TOTP code and can instead use this method which involves no manual intervention during TOTP auto-fill.

Note: If you have already configured MFA/TFA with the respective website using a different authenticator, then you need to re-configure it with Zoho OneAuth.
