Unlock Zoho Vault without Master Password

Unlock Zoho Vault without Master Password

All users must enter their master password every time to unlock and access their Vault. For a seamless and secure login experience, users can now configure unlocking Vault via authenticators on trusted browsers. There are two supported methods now:
  1. Unlock with Zoho OneAuth Mobile App
  2. Unlock with Authenticators
How does unlocking with authenticator work?
  1. The user's master password is encrypted with AES-256 encryption and stored locally on the trusted browser.
  2. This encrypted master password is then again cryptographically paired with authenticators.
  3. Upon successful authentication in the background, Zoho Vault will unlock.
  4. When users reset their master password, clear their browser cache, or change their mobile device, unlocking via authenticators might not work. They need to enter their master password once again to continue using unlocking Vault with authenticators.
At Zoho, we prioritize data security and privacy above all. For detailed information on the process of unlocking Zoho Vault using Authenticators, click here.
