Can I log in to Zoho Vault with a passkey?
You can set up a passwordless account to log in to Zoho Vault without needing a Master Password. While our current
passwordless login method does not use passkeys, the experience is similar to accessing an account with a passkey.

Can I use both passwords and passkeys for a site?
Yes, you may use a combination of passkeys and passwords to log in to your accounts. On some websites and apps, you'll have the option to choose between logging in with a passkey or a password.
With Zoho Vault, both login methods are supported. When visiting websites or apps that offer both passkeys and passwords, you'll be able to select your preferred login method. A pop-up will appear showing the saved login options for the site, allowing you to choose how you'd like to log in.
What happens if my passkey device is lost or stolen?
If you use Zoho Vault to manage your passkeys, they remain securely stored in your vault and can be accessed from any device. For example, if you lose your phone, you can log in to Zoho Vault on your computer to retrieve your passkeys. Moreover, the Zoho Vault app on your misplaced phone is safeguarded by your PIN, fingerprint, Face ID, or Master Password to maintain the security of your data.
Passkeys are usually stored in the cloud for users of Apple Keychain/Passwords or Google’s Password Manager. This means you can access them from other devices, even if your iPhone or Android device is lost.
If you are unable to access your passkeys on any device, account recovery depends on the specific website or app. For accounts that use both passkeys and passwords, you can usually recover access by using your password. Alternatively, some sites or apps may offer recovery options, such as sending a recovery email, similar to the process for resetting passwords.
Can I set up more than one passkey for my account?
Yes, you can set up multiple passkeys for the same account, provided the website supports this feature.
What happens if my online account has multiple passkeys?
If your account has more than one passkey, Zoho Vault will display all the available passkeys for that account, allowing you to select the one you want to use.
Why can't I edit the username or website associated with a passkey?
Passkeys are securely linked to the specific website or application where they were created. This design ensures your login credentials cannot be altered to work on untrusted or fraudulent sites, helping to protect you from scams and phishing attacks.
Can I import or export passkeys in Zoho Vault?
Currently, Zoho Vault does not support the import or export of passkeys. However, we are actively working on adding this feature in the future.
Can passkeys be shared?
Passkeys can be shared with other Zoho Vault users, just like any other item stored in your vault account.
Can I use a passkey instead of a password?
Yes, If you have an account on a website that supports passkeys, you can update your security settings. Simply go to your Account or Security Settings, and look for the option to set up a passkey or add a security device.
