Delete your team in WorkDrive

Delete Team

If you no longer need your team to store and manage your files in WorkDrive, you can delete your team. Deleting your team will permanently remove:
  1. All team users 
  2. All files and folders in My Folders and Team Folders (including Writer, Sheet, and Show files)
  3. All share links, download links, and embed codes
  1. Only the super admin can delete their team in WorkDrive.
    If a team's super admin is somehow not part of the team anymore, they may contact support to make one of the existing admins the super admin.

  2. Once a team is deleted, it can't be restored. Team deletion does not take place immediately; all team data will be deleted from the active database and all Zoho datacenters during the next cleanup process after 90 days.

  3. Deleting your WorkDrive team will not remove your Zoho account. You can continue to access other Zoho apps with the same email address. Learn how to delete your Zoho account.

For WorkDrive subscribers

  1. Click Admin Console in the bottom-left corner of your WorkDrive account.
    The Admin Console page will open in a new tab. Dashboard will be selected by default.
  2. Click Settings in the left panel. The Profile settings will be displayed by default.



  3. Under Delete Team, click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION.
    You have to cancel your WorkDrive subscription before you delete your team in WorkDrive. Any remaining amount from your subscription will be refunded based on our refund policy.
  4. After canceling your subscription, go to workdrive.zoho.com.
  5. Click Delete your team permanently.
    A delete confirmation dialog will open.
  6. Mark the checkbox to agree that you have understood the consequence of this action. 
    A feedback field will appear.
  7. Add your feedback.
  8. Click DELETE.
    A delete confirmation dialog will open
  9. Enter your Zoho account password to confirm.
  10. Click DELETE.
When your WorkDrive subscription gets expired, your data will be intact, but you will not be able to access it until you upgrade your account again. You can delete your team permanently if you no longer need it.



For WorkDrive trial users

  1. Click Admin Console in the bottom-left corner of your WorkDrive account.
    The Admin Console page will open in a new tab. Dashboard will be selected by default.
  2. Click Settings in the left panel. The Profile settings will be displayed by default.



  3. Under Delete Team, click the DELETE TEAM button.
    A delete confirmation dialog will open.
  4. Mark the checkbox to agree that you have understood the consequence of this action. 
    A feedback field will appear.
  5. Add your feedback.
  6. Click DELETE.

  7. Enter your Zoho account password to confirm.
  8. Click DELETE.

For WorkDrive subscribers with integrations

If you're currently subscribed to a WorkDrive plan, and your team is associated with one or more Zoho apps, you will not be able to delete your team in WorkDrive.

Cancel your WorkDrive subscription first, then contact support for further details.

For WorkDrive trial users with integrations

If your WorkDrive trial account is associated with one or more Zoho apps, you will not be able to delete your team in WorkDrive.

For Zoho One and Workplace users

If your WorkDrive team is part of the Zoho One or the Workplace bundle, you cannot delete your WorkDrive team separately. You need to close your bundle account which will delete all associated apps and their data.
