Within the admin console, there are several options to control the sharing permissions of a team, including the ability to enable Collections. Cases may arise where a team requires certain files from external sources, or there’s a need to submit files between different teams within the same organization.
To enable Collections:
Go to the Admin Console in the bottom-left corner of your WorkDrive account. The Admin Console page will open in a new tab. Dashboard will be selected by default.
Go to the Settings panel of the Admin Console.
Select Sharing.
Toggle Enable Collections on to enable your teammates to create collections.
Choose who gets to create collections in WorkDrive:
Anyone on the Team
Team Admins only
To disable Collections in your team:
Go to the Admin Console in the bottom left corner of your WorkDrive account. The Admin Console page will open in a new tab. Dashboard will be selected by default.
Go to the Settings panel of the Admin Console.
Select Sharing.
Toggle Enable collections off.
Go to the Admin Console in the bottom left corner of your WorkDrive account. The Admin Console page will open in a new tab. Dashboard will be selected by default.
Go to the Settings panel of the Admin Console.
Select Sharing.
Under the Enable collections section, go over the second option, Choose which name you want to display to external users in the collection link view.
Select which name to display when you link the collection to external users:
Collection creator’s name: Displays the name of the collection and its creator.
Team name: Displays the name of the collection and the team it’s from.
