WorkDrive Notifications

Notifications in WorkDrive

To keep you in the loop on what’s happening in your team and Team Folders, WorkDrive shows you notifications in three different ways:
  1. Global or Bell notifications
  2. Unread notifications
  3. Email notifications

Global or Bell Notifications

The global or bell notifications will notify you about team-level activities wherever you are a part of.

To see the global or bell notifications:
  1.  Click the bell icon in the top-right corner.
From there, you can use the dropdown to filter the type of notification. The dropdown menu shows you notifications with the selected criteria:
    1. All: Shows all your notifications.
    2. Following: Shows all the notifications from the files and folder you have followed.
    3. Shared: Shows all files shared to you and the permission you’ve been given. Additionally, any Team Folder that you’ve been given access to is shown here as well.
    4. @ Mention: This shows you all the files where you have been mentioned.
    5. Request Access: This options shows you all the files and folders that a user has requested. You can click the Share button to immediately give them access.
    6. Others: There are several other types of notifications that get grouped under the Others category. Some examples include:
      1. A user created a team folder
      2. Your role has been changed in a team folder
      3. Someone has resolved, reopened, or replied to your comment to your file
To clear all your notifications from the menu, click the Clear All option to remove all your current notifications.

Unread Notifications

Unread Notifications will help you stay updated on all files that have been added or modified in the Team Folder since your last visit.
The unread notifications will help you keep track of:
  1. Who has created or uploaded the file and when
  2. Who has last modified the file and when
  3. How many new versions have been created over the file
  4. How many new comments have been added on the file
