How to generate labels using Zoho CRM data

Overview 

Zoho Writer allows you to create professional labels by pulling data directly from Zoho CRM. Whether you need shipping, mailing, or product labels, you can merge information from CRM's modules and generate personalized labels.

Some scenarios where this will be useful:
  1. Generating mailing labels for all contacts in a campaign
  2. Printing shipping labels with deal and client details
  3. Creating product labels with SKU and pricing information

Prerequisites 

  1. Ensure the necessary fields in Zoho CRM are populated for the records you want to include.
  2. If using related records (like products associated with a deal), ensure the related fields are configured as subforms in your CRM module.
  3. Confirm that you have the required permissions to access the modules and fields in CRM.

Steps 

Using label templates in Zoho Writer 

  1. Open the label template in Zoho Writer.
  2. From the Automate tab, choose Zoho CRM as your data source, and select the module containing the label data.


  3. Insert the required fields into your label template.
  4. Preview the template to ensure all the labels' data appear correctly for multiple records.


  5. Once verified, you can print the labels or export them as a PDF for batch printing.

Using merge templates in Zoho CRM 

  1. Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
  2. Navigate to the module containing the records you want to create labels for (e.g., Contacts, Leads, or Deals).
  3. Select the records for which you want to generate labels.
  4. Click More Actions > Mail Merge and choose your label template.
  5. Follow from the 4th step of the previous section.

Note

Label templates are available under Zoho Writer's credit-based pricing model. One credit will be consumed for each label page downloaded.
For example, downloading a 3-page label document will consume 3 credits.

Troubleshooting 

  1. Merged labels show blank data
Confirm that the records in your CRM contain entries for all fields included in the template.
