Medium Extension to Post Content From Writer

Overview

Share what you write with your community by posting to your Medium blog directly from inside Writer. Make sure you have installed and authorized the Medium Extension from Marketplace. If not, follow these steps to do so. 

Steps

  1. Click Medium under Extensions from the right panel.
  2. You will be taken to the Medium homepage.
  3. Sign in/sign up if you haven't already.
  4. If you haven't authorized the Medium extension yet, you will be prompted to do so.
  5. Choose a publication in which you want to post your content. If you don't choose a publication, the content will be posted on your profile.
  6. Add a title to your blog and enter relevant tags.
  7. Under Advanced Options, enter a preferred/canonical URL.
  8. Choose a license type from the dropdown list.
  9. Choose whether or not to notify your Medium followers.
  10. You can publish your blog post straight away, save a draft and publish later from Medium, or publish an unlisted story.

Troubleshooting Tips

Problem : Initially, when the user is trying to publish the content to Medium platform, we are receiving the below message.



Solution : Login to your Medium platform in another browser tab and then try to publish the content from Zoho Writer. It will work.
