Overview
Distribute mode in Zoho Writer provides a single toolbar for all actions related to sharing, publishing, and finalizing your document. Instead of navigating through multiple menus, you can email, share a link, publish to a portal, generate a PDF, print, send document for signature collection, or mark a document as final—all from one place.
Steps
- Open a document in Zoho Writer.
- Click Distribute in the top-right corner of the editor.
- Select the action you want to perform:
- Email: Send the document directly via email.
- Download: Download the document in DOCX, PDF, ODT, and other file formats.
- Publish: Publish the document within your organization or across the internet.
- Print: Print the document.
- Collect Signatures: Send the document for electronic signatures.
- Fill As Form: Fill the form's fields
- Mark as Final: Lock the document as the final version and prevent editing.

Note
- Marking a document as final makes it read-only. This can be reverted back to the editing state by the document owner.
