Check for plagiarism in Zoho Writer using Zia

Prerequisites
Plagiarism checker enabled by admin
Sufficient credit points to run plagiarism checks
Steps
How to enable plagiarism checker (Admin access required)
Go to Admin Panel
Navigate to Configuration > Plagiarism
Click Activate
How to check plagiarism in a document
Open your document
Click the Zia icon in the top-right corner
Scroll to the Plagiarism section
Click Check
Note: You must re-run the check after making changes to your document.
How to generate and view the plagiarism report
Open the Zia panel
Go to Plagiarism
Click Check
View the plagiarism percentage (plagiarized vs unique content)
Click View Report to open the detailed report
Note: Ensure you have enough credit points before running the check.
How to view and understand the plagiarism report
The detailed report includes the following components:
Plagiarism summary
Overall percentage of plagiarized content
List of matching sources
Number of matching sentences per source
Source-specific report
Each matching source is displayed as a separate card.
You can:
Click a source to view matching sentences
Use navigation arrows to browse matches
View color-coded highlights based on match percentage
Click Ignore to exclude a source from the report
Credit points consumption
Plagiarism checks consume credit points based on document length:
1 credit = 10 sentences checked
Total credits depend on the number of sentences in your document
To view usage:
Open the Zia panel
Click the Report option (top-right corner)
You can purchase additional credit points when required.
Troubleshooting
1. Error/Symptom: Plagiarism check not working
Recommended solution:
Ensure the feature is enabled by admin
Check if you have sufficient credit points
2. Error/Symptom: Report not visible
Recommended solution:
Run the plagiarism check first
Then click View Report
3. Error/Symptom: Changes not reflected in report
Recommended solution:
Re-run plagiarism check after editing the document
