Overview
Zoho Writer’s built-in SEO Analyzer helps you optimize your document content for search engines without leaving the editor. It scans your content for keywords, identifies them, and shows their distribution so you can refine your writing for better visibility. It makes it easier for bloggers, marketers, and businesses to write SEO-friendly content directly inside Zoho Writer.
You can see where keywords appear, whether in headings, subheadings, the first or last 100 words, or throughout your content. You can also regenerate keywords or add your own manually, ensuring your content matches your audience’s search intent.
Prerequisites
- A draft or final version of the content you want to analyze. (You can use our sample content if you want to try out the feature)
- (Optional) A target list of keywords you want your document to rank for.
Steps
- Open the file you’d like to analyze in Zoho Writer.
- From the top toolbar, open the Zia panel, scroll down to SEO Analyzer, and click Check. The tool automatically scans your content and highlights the detected keywords.
- View the feedback report that includes:
- Total number of keywords found and their individual density (in percentage).
- Average keyword density (e.g., 3.2%).
- Keyword presence in headings, subheadings, body content, first 100 words, last 100 words, and URL.

- To manage the keywords, click Manage and
- Click Regenerate to generate a new set of keywords and report.
- Click Manage Keywords to add or edit the keywords.
- Adjust your document to improve keyword placement and density. You can recheck the analysis as you update the document's content with the Recheck button.

1. What is the ideal keyword density?
There’s no one-size-fits-all rule, but a keyword density of 1–3% is generally recommended. The analyzer helps you stay within this range.
2. Can I use my own keywords instead of the generated ones?
Yes. You can add or edit keywords anytime to align with your SEO goals.
3. Will the SEO Analyzer guarantee better search ranking?
Not directly. It helps you optimize content for readability and keyword balance, which improves your chances, but rankings also depend on factors like backlinks, domain authority, and competition.
4. Can I analyze documents in any language?
Currently, the analyzer works best with English documents. Support for more languages may be added later.
