Guest users can now join your organization and collaborate right within Cliq. Admins can control and manage what guest users can access within the organization.

How to enable and manage guest users in the admin panel? 

Admins can enable and manage guest users in the admin panel. You can enable guest users by following the steps below. Once it is enabled, you can add and manage the users.

• Go to Admin Panel → Organization → Configurations → Guest Users.

• Enable Guest Users to allow your organization's users to collaborate with external users in Cliq.

• Additionally, organizational admin can allow their guest users to join other organization as guest users.

• In the Admin Panel, go to Permissions → Policies and enable Allow users from your organization to join other organizations as guest users

• You can manage the permissions of guest users from Permissions → Roles.

• Click Permissions to manage what the guest users can access in Cliq.

• Ensure that guest users are allowed to join the organization and personal channels.

• Go to Admin Panel → Organization → Configurations → Conversations.

• Click Default permissions for the channel type you want to manage.

• Unlock and enable "Allow guest participants in this channel".

• Click on an active guest user and go to Conversations to map channels and contacts.

• You can also look at the guest users' usage reports.

Note: The suspended users will be listed here in Admin Panel. A guest user will be suspended if your parent organization admin disables the "Allow users from your organization to join other organizations as guest users".

How to invite a guest user? 

• Go to Admin Panel → Users & Profiles → Organization & Guest Users →  Guest Users.

• Enter the invitees' email ID.

• Map open channels to the guest user. You can choose from organizational, and personal channel.

• Connect contacts for the guest users to collaborate with. You can connect both internal and guest users.

• The invited user will now be listed under the invited section.

How can you manage guest users in Cliq? 

• Click on your profile and then select Manage Guests.

• You can manage All, 1-1 Guest chat, and Group guest chats from here. Currently, you will see an older version of Manage Guests.

Note: The guest user version in the above screenshot will be deprecated in the future.

• Click on Try Now in the deprecation banner at the top to get redirected to the new Manage Guests interface.

Note: The admin can also manage guest users via Admin Panel → Users & Profiles → Organizational & Guest users → Guest users.

What will the guest user see in Cliq? 

• Guests can now access the channels, chats, and contacts they are mapped to in Cliq.

• Click the three lines in the top-left corner, then click Accept to accept the guest invite.

• The users can switch between networks from here. 

Note: Inter-DC DMs are not supported in Guest users 2.0
