Setting up organization policy in Cliq

The org admin can enable/disable a set of general policies and password policy for the organization.
To set up organization policy in Cliq, do the following:
  1. Navigate to the Admin Panel and select Policies under Permissions.
  2. You will find a set of general policies, external policies,password policy and MFA. You can enable/disable a policy and it will be reflected to the entire organization.


General Policy

There are a set of general policies admin can enable/disable to perform certain actions.
  • Allow request to join your organization
    Enabling this policy will allow users to send request to you for joining your organization in Cliq, when they sign-up and try to find a company to be part of. Their request will trigger a mail to your inbox from where you can accept or decline the request to join your organization.
  • Allow users to turn off history
    Enabling this policy will allow your organization users to turn off their chat history for 1-1 and group chats.
  • Allow admins to export private conversations as part of your company's data export
    Enabling this policy will give admins the permission to export private conversation for compliance, auditing and other legal purposes. You can also edit the terms and conditions of your policy.
  • Allow organization admins to manage shared files for regular data clean-up according to company policy.
    Enabling this policy will help organization admins can manage (view and delete) all files shared in public and private conversations for clean-up purposes when storage limits are reached, or for audit/legal compliance.
  • Allow Cliq support to access data for debugging purposes
    Enabling this policy will allow Cliq support team to access data of your organization for debugging purposes.
  • Allow users to create organization-level channel without approval
    Enabling this policy will allow your organization users to create and use organization channels on their own, i.e. the org admin does not have to approve the channels.
  • Allow users to access networks created by other organization
    Enabling this policy will allow your organization users to access networks that are created by other organization.
  • Allow network users who are part of the business org to leave the network
    Enabling this policy will allow users of business org who are part of a network to leave the network.
  • Activate geofencing and allow users to connect exclusively with call and meeting servers in their own data center.
    By enabling this policy,  servers within the data center will be allocated for handling calls and meetings. This ensures that user data remains within the data center, while also improving call quality.

External collaboration policies   

  • External users can view files shared by organization users.

Channel and Direct messages collaboration 

Note: These policies can be enabled for regional and universal access.
  • Invite and collaborate with external users in external channels.
  • Join external channels managed by users from other organizations.
  • Invite external users and interact with them through direct messages, calls, and meetings.

Password Policy   

Password Policy allows you to set password configuration for your organization members to secure their account. Refer the link to know about how to set your password policies.

Multi-Factor Authentication

 Extensions 
  • Only allow installation of verified marketplace extensions.
  • Show recommendations of marketplace extensions in Cliq.
