Creating and joining a Live Broadcast

Understand Live Broadcast


Live Broadcast is a streaming-focused online session. Unlike a live Town Hall, it is not a Q&A-first format. It is mainly designed for members to join, watch the stream, and engage during the session.


Create a Live Broadcast  

  1. Click Broadcast from the right apps panel.



  2. Enter the Session name.

  3. Choose whether the session should Start Now or be Scheduled for later.



  4. Add Presenters, who act as co-organizers for the live stream.



  5. Choose who can attend:

    • Everyone in this community

    • Members of a Space

    • Selected members and Spaces



  1. Decide whether to Record the session for members to watch later and click Start Broadcast / Schedule.


 

Join a Live Broadcast  

You can join a Live Broadcast in three ways:

  • Open the events calendar and click the session invite



  • Click Join now on the post in My Feed



  • Use the LIVE indicator at the top of the left menu


Understand participant interaction

The Live Broadcast interface is similar to a Video Conference, except participants usually watch the stream and use Request to Speak when they want to contribute.
