Overview
Communities often store valuable resources in discussions, announcements, manuals, files, and collaboration spaces. However, finding the right information quickly can be challenging. That's where Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP enter.
Zoho CommunitySpaces MCP allows you to connect your Zoho CommunitySpaces community with AI-powered applications using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). By connecting Zoho CommunitySpaces to Zoho MCP, communities can allow AI assistants and agents to access stored data across community's discussions, manuals, announcements, and collaboration. This also allows AI-powered workflows to fetch information, answer questions, and provide contextual assistance using your community's communication and knowledge resources.
The AI client sends the request to the MCP server.
The MCP server identifies the appropriate Zoho CommunitySpaces tools required to answer the request.
Zoho CommunitySpaces retrieves only the information permitted by the configured access scope.
The retrieved content is returned to the AI client as contextual data.
The AI generates a response using the latest information available from your community.
This allows AI assistants to answer questions using information that already exists within your community instead of relying only on their built-in knowledge.
For example:
"What were the key announcements shared this month?"
The AI will fetch relevant announcements from Zoho CommunitySpaces and generate a summarized response based on the available information.
Using Zoho CommunitySpaces with MCP allows you to:
Search discussions using natural language, such as English
Get announcements, posts, and knowledge resources instantly
Reduce time spent manually searching across spaces.
Enable AI-powered workflows based on trusted information
Search relevant information from multiple Community resources through a single AI interface

If access is limited to announcements, the AI can answer questions related only to announcements.
If access includes forum discussions and manuals, the AI can retrieve information from both sources to provide more comprehensive responses.
This ensures that only approved community's content is available through MCP.
