Participating in ongoing Q&A Town Hall sessions

Join an ongoing session   

Members can join a live session from the Ongoing Sessions page.



When a Town Hall session is live, a LIVE indicator also appears at the top of the left apps menu, making it easier to jump into the session instantly.


Ask and answer questions   

In an ongoing Q&A Town Hall:
  • Members can post questions using Ask a question

  • Participants can Upvote or downvote questions, and add Comments.

  • By default, hosts and panelists can respond using Add an answer. Participants can also answer questions when allowed by hosts.

  • Answers can also be upvoted or downvoted

  • Use Reply to continue the discussion thread

  • Hosts and moderators can use Select as the best answer to highlight the most helpful response in all the questions. Participants can also choose the best answer for the questions they've asked.


Use polls, announcements, and insights   

In addition to questions, hosts can also post:
  • Announcements



  • Polls

 

Participants can respond to these with Reactions and Comments.




Based on permission you can also:

  • Open Insights to review engagement metrics



  • Use Add Task to create follow-up actions



  • Click the eye icon to view the activity count


Switch Views

Toggle between two column view and default views.  Available only for the live Q&A sessions.



 

Filter and sort activity   

Use the filter options to focus on the content you want to review. You can switch between:

  • All

  • Answered

  • Unanswered

  • Polls

  • Announcements

Use Sort to reorder questions and posts based on:

  • Recent

  • Oldest

  • Most Upvoted

  • Recent Activity
